Letters, one to Monsieur Joly, one to an unidentified addressee (dated May 28, 1870), and one to Monsieur Blaset. The first letter refers cryptically to a development Batta had feared; in the second, he mentions having been very ill and asks the addressee to lend an instrument to a promising young cellist he knows; in the third, he asks Blaset to print something for him in the journal Le Gaulois.
